Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is a dental procedure used to save a severely decayed or infected tooth by removing damaged pulp from inside the tooth. When the inner pulp becomes infected due to deep cavities, cracks, or trauma, it can cause severe pain, swelling, and sensitivity. Root canal treatment helps eliminate infection, relieve pain, and preserve the natural tooth. During the procedure, the dentist carefully cleans and disinfects the root canals, removing infected tissue and bacteria. The canals are then filled and sealed to prevent reinfection, and a crown is usually placed to restore the tooth’s strength and function.
